It is actually a good trail from the "main" road to the base camp, the main road is in worse condition

This seems, but for its much greater size, to fit into a sort of grand sequence of eroding extinct volcanoes. Just a thought from someone who has spent a lot of time in the Cascades of Oregon and Washington. Thanks again.
