This crossbedded mesa is located at the far east end of the park along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway.

Hasn't voted | You can either climb Checkerboard Mesa or just hike to near the top. I have so MANY photos of Zion... tons of snow ones... but it takes time. I have only posted here now a short time. ;)

Hasn't voted | is pretty scary. Crux resembled an unprotected vertical sand dune: About 5.7. I fell when some of the sand slipped. Slid about 30 feet before stopping, rope never caught me. It was more like a self arrest.
Great area. Looking forward to those photos.
