The Lower MarmotCasiri

Voted 10/10

i've been hoping to see a picture of this mountain for quite some time now. Did you sidetrack to the true summit? Did it look like there was a reasonable route?

Thanks!

I made a mistake by typing too fast and not thinking. This is actually Cerani instead of Casiri.

For Cerani, bad weather prevented us from getting to the true summit, but there are some reasonable routes up.

The route directly from the pass requires a rock climb or climbing a frozen waterfall (when present) just to the west. There are non-technical routes on either side of the pass, but they involve scree and some traversing. If you have the right equipment the shorter techical route would be more fun.

If you send me a PM with your email I can send you a bunch of photos.

I also have several photos of the real Casiri, which I am adding today. It's a rugged peak.
