Seems like there is not all that much snow in the area. Is that typical for this time of year?

Check out this photo. The Ski Apache ski area only a couple of miles from this mountain. It appears they are hurting for snow.

Yea, they are hurting for snow. I believe the last snow they had was December 19th. There was about 6 inches of snow on the ground where there was shelter from the wind. The tall grass hides the snow pretty good, but nevertheless, Ski Apache is pretty much relying on man made snow. The top of White Horse didn't have much snow because it had all blown off. The winds were very high.
