Sun breaks out of the clouds for a moment, lighting the sheer, rotten breccia cliffs of Mount Sublette, as seen from Sublette Peak.

The breccia is, in this case, a hardened volcanic ash that contains rocks loosely cemented together. It often looks like the knob-studded conglomerate that makes for good climbing, but more often than not, it is treacherously brittle.
