how was that, is that where it gets up to the 50degrees? Ive never done it but wonder about it. How does it finish.

Wow, seldom go to Summitpost anymore, but did this a.m. and came across a question only 2 months old. Climbing up where we did wsa straight forward. There was one spot (as I recall, it's been a few years now) where the snow cover got very narrow and I broke through snow bridge and started sliding. My son was right behind me and planted his axe below my feet before I even got going. The couloir is narrow and I remember a steep wall on the right. It's very interesting. Exiting was no problem, we just ran out of snow and scrambled up a scree slope for 30 feet or so. The angle in the couloir could have been 50 degrees at some stage, but the snow was good and I never felt insecure.
