Hasn't voted | Thanks! This Ben Lomond was named after the Ben Lomond in Scotland which is east of Loch Lomond.
Loch Lomond:
By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines bright, on Loch Lomond
Where me and my true love were ever wont to gae
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
Chorus:
Oh! ye'll tak' the high road and I'll tak' the low road,
An' I'll be in Scotland afore ye',
But me and my true love will never meet again,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
Twas then that we parted in yon shady glen,
On the steep, steep side of Ben Lomond,
Where in purple hue the Highland hills we view,
And the moon coming out in the gloaming
The wee birdies sing and the wild flowers spring,
And in sunshine the waters are sleeping,
But the broken heart it kens nae second spring again,
Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greeting | | Posted Apr 2, 2008 3:11 am |

Hasn't voted | Okay, I'll sing the song :) The name Ben Lomond is associated with a lot of stores and buildings in the area. Ben Lomond High School is the Home of the Scots of course. | | Posted Apr 2, 2008 7:57 pm |
