I knew somebody had to have a porcupine
posted, and I finally found it! Nice
specimen! I grew up with several porcupines
in the Oquirrh Mtns. of n. Utah. They
always hung out in an area called White
Pine Flats, and the locals called it
'porcupine flats.' Nice picture, John!!

Thanks Larry - I've actually seen a lot of these on the Western Slope of CO, esp. the Elk Range. They hang out near Crater Lake (often used as camp for the Maroon Bells). I was surprised not to find more porcupine pictures here on SP.
