Black Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Black Peak
Black Peak is one of the highest Gros Ventre Peaks. It is a rugged, isolated peak, guarded by large walls on the side seen in the photo. It is deep in the heart of the Gros Ventre Wilderness. The view seen here from Antoinette Peak is one of my favorite angles of the peak.

Voted 10/10

I planned a climb of Antoinette last summer but changed that plan at the last minute for something else. What a mistake. This might have to sneak into next summer's plans.

I have added this shot to my Yellowstone Ecosystem page and made it the primary image. What a beautiful picture! I love the Gros Ventre Range.
