Antoinette Peak [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Antoinette Peak
The incredible Antoinette Peak from Open Door Peak's summit. Antoinette is one of the finer Gros Ventre peaks with no real easy way up. Only steep scrambling, and loose scree will take you to the small little summit. The views are out of this world, the Tetons are amazing from there. I love hiking up the Swift Creek Trail, then following the SE ridge to the peak. A great scramble in some amazing wilderness. The limestone in the area has some wild formations, some crazy natural artistry you have to see to believe.

Thanks for your comment. The pictures don't even come close to how amazing that view was in person. The Gros Ventres are magical for me.

I had to dump your Black Peak shot for this as the primary image for the Yellowstone Ecosystem page.

I'm tentatively planning to do Antoinette when I'm out there next summer, by the way. I'll send you a PM when I settle on an itinerary.
