Part way up the lower half of...
Part way up the lower half of the Haystack (the rock scramble at the top of Si) - I missed timed this shot as the guy went behind a bush. The camera angle is pretty much 'up' maybe just a touch less than vertical - hard to see this in the shot.

This is rated class 2-3, call me a whimp, but you would not be happy falling off this puppy. Its a popular place, and down climbing is a problem for many I watched. Coming down I might call it a class 4. summer '03

Absolutely not a class two (defined as cross-country, using hands for balance by YDS). I would say class 3+. People with a fear of heights will have problems climbing this.

The hastack route up is very easy but sort of exposed at the top and i think that the rating is in the low class 3's.
