True Grit, 5.10a [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
True Grit, 5.10a
3rd Pitch- 25m- 5.10a or c/ The 3rd pitch offers a 5.10c variation. Both variations start by making a difficult move off the deck and then doing a hand traverse to a good foot rest to the right. Head up past another bolt and then either head right into the textured limestone groove (5.10a) or turn left and head up the arĂȘte to the left of the corner (5.10c). In either instance, you end up at a belay below and to the right of a steep corner.
True Grit, 5.10a, 6 Pitches, EEOR (East End of Mount Rundle), Canadian Rockies, June, 2008

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
