If you ever want a great viewpoint, then this is it: Wright Mountain (5,430 ft), 1.4 miles due north of Chair. Gem Lake (4,857 ft) is also quite picturesque. In summer it's an easy day-hike from the Alpental parking lot. Feb. 22, 2004
