Your Dudeness hiking along the summit of Bighorn Peak (12,819 ft.) in route to Wheeler. From left to right: Wheeler Peak, Simpson Peak, and Old Mike. The lower peak in the foreground is Pt. 12,728 and was required to summit along with Simpson Peak in order to climb Wheeler Peak from this direction.

Voted 10/10 | This is a really awesome picture. How long was the hike that you did from bighorn to Wheeler and then back? Day or Multi Day | | Posted Sep 15, 2008 9:04 pm |

Hasn't voted | Sorry, just saw this comment. We started at Toas Ski Valley and hiked up the Kachina lift, then up to the top of Kachina Peak. We then traversed the entire Williams Lake Cirque (Kachina, Lake Fork, Big Horn, Pt. 12,728, Simpson, Wheeler) and descended back down from Wheeler to Williams Lake. Very fun route with quite a bit of ridge running and scrambling. I think it took us around 8 hours round trip. | | Posted Jan 4, 2009 12:21 pm |

Voted 10/10 | This image gives Wheeler a look worthy of the state's highpoint. Thanks | | Posted Jan 18, 2009 8:42 pm |
