Jefferson is on my plans for late June. Thanks for the pics, I find them very helpful to be able to visualize where I'm going. I've been to the 9000 foot level on the north side but will be going up the SW route from Pamelia lake.

Thanks Dean,

Oregon High gives this route a bad rep as being long and boring. Maybe this is true in Summer when it is a long scree ridge, but with snow, it was pretty fun climbing..... short steep portions of front pointing, working through rime ice covered terraces and unfortunately also lots of post holing due to snow mid week and high temps.

By mid June the route should be in good shape as you will be able to do more of the lower part of the ridge on dirt and rock (fewer mystery steps in moats and tree wells), the terrible traverse should still have plenty of snow and the summit pinnacle will be rock versus rime ice.

Good luck
