Frozen Merriam Lake View [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Frozen Merriam Lake View
The northeast face of Mount Idaho provides a stunning backdrop to the highly scenic Merriam Lake. The lake remains partially frozen, even in late June. Similar scene to this shot taken a couple years earlier.

Thanks Larry. It’s definitely a good looking peak, especially from this angle.

Thanks. The north face (accessible from the lake, not quite visible in this shot) is the only route I know of that's been climbed from this side of the mountain.

Thanks Matt. I tend to agree with you. My brother, who has done a fair amount of backpacking here in Idaho, says it the most scenic place he's ever camped.

Thanks Dean. I took tons of pics from the lake while we were there. This one came out the best out of the bunch. It’d be hard to take a bad picture of such an amazing scene.
