Strolling from the summit of Santa Fe Peak on a gorgeous Colorado day. We had lots of stormy weather prior to this day and our climb of Santa Fe (our third attempt) looked threatened once again. However, the weather was finally on our side as a cold front blew in with cool, dry air, preventing storms from forming. Behind me are the mountains of Colorado's Front Range, primarily Bald Mountain to the left. Mosquito Range 14ers Bross and Lincoln are to the right. Our group was impressed with the view from this peak, which included the Sangre De Cristos as far as Eureka Peak, the Holy Cross area and most of the Gore, Ten Mile and Mosquito Ranges, as well as most of the Front Range.
