Thanx! Next time ...

Visiting your shots I learned how to translate from italian "pietraia" into "boulder field". Any dictionary helped me. Is always very useful to visit mothertongue's pages!

What does Grand Combin mean?

English: combine: Specific a wheat harvester, basic means put together, assemble. Does it have something to do with a comb (hair comb) or beach comber (Long wave crashing on shore?)

For sure is a french word, meaningless.

I really don't know where this name get out from. This is a question for Valais people.
