July, 2000. Approaching the base of the two peaks of the Aiguille du Tour on the Swiss side after crossing the Glacier du Trient from the Cabane du Trient. The easier left center peak (3542m) attracts quite a crowd while the right center peak (3544m) remains mostly empty. The cliffs on the southwest (French) side - not visible here - are much higher and more difficult.
