Maja Shkurt seen from Maja Lagojvet [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Maja Shkurt seen from Maja Lagojvet
Although an old Yugoslavian military map shows the altitude of Maja Shkurt as 2499 m and Maja Lagojvet as 2466 m, this view from the M.Lagojvet summit shows that M.Lagojvet is actually higher. The combined GPS (base of north face) and altimeter measurement (summit) showed the height of M.Lagojvet as about 2540 m. The summit still has to be measured with GPS.
Photo taken during the first ascent of M.Lagojvet on 31 August 2009.

That was a part of a great show the mountain prepared for us at the summit, saving the best for last after we climbed in clouds most of the day. But that was not the end of our adventure.

I'm waiting til Seba logs on SP and shows his even better pics, e.g. with a Brocken spectre at the summit, plus some action shots from the climb :)

Love the clouds in this one. In a shot like this timing is everything. Thanks for sharing this one with us -TyeDyeTwins-
