Hasn't voted | Thanks Radek - I've been waiting for someone to put up Goethe Peak so I could post this one. -Bob | | Posted Jun 11, 2004 7:49 pm |

Hasn't voted | Its a perfect reflection! Who dares to drop the first stone into the lake? | | Posted Jun 17, 2004 8:01 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Klaus. Indeed, a perfect reflection happens rarely enough that I can't bear to throw even a pebble into the water. But I had to beg my partners not to ruin that reflection before I got some photos. | | Posted Jun 17, 2004 10:16 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Derek! Interesting comparison. The Enchantments are often compared to the Sierra, as you know. They're both very beautiful, which I guess increases the likelihood of capturing nice images! -Bob | | Posted Mar 26, 2006 3:45 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Why yes I am! There are so many shades of blue plus the black and grey really add to the brilliance of the blue.

| phxphotog | Where did you camp? | |
Voted 10/10 | Beautiful photo. I've always loved that lake and the color of the water. But I'm curious. Where did you make camp? Because from what I've seen and walked on were just boulders and rock. Not much else in the way of a camp spot. Just curious, and thanks again for the photo. Brought back many memories. | | Posted Mar 19, 2008 1:11 pm |

Hasn't voted | You're so right that the lake is surrounded by boulders, but if you look closely at the center area of this photo, you can see a small area of "September green". (Click on the Orig link to see a larger version). We spotted it while coming down from Alpine Col. We were very lucky because it was getting too late in the day to get all the way around the lake in daylight! -Bob | | Posted Mar 20, 2008 5:13 pm |
