Hasn't voted | My Dad and I are considering climbing this route later this month, how was it? We don't want to get into anything out of our league. We have crampons and Ice Axes but were are not sure that that route would be the wisest... Is it well worth it??? | | Posted Jun 12, 2005 7:52 pm |

Hasn't voted | It is definately well worth it but a very serious and potentially dangerous climb. We experienced some ice and rock fall while climbing the couloir last year that could have been the end of the day or worse. An early start, confident crampon technique and endurance for a big day are a must. As for how the climb was though....amazing, incredible, glorious and rewarding. Combined with the traverse from South Maroon to North Maroon it made for one of the best mountaineering days I've had. | | Posted Jun 13, 2005 10:56 am |
