Sharing an almost missed sunset with the summit of Box Elder and Mount Timpanogos. I was trying to fix a stripped screw on my head lamp (easily fixed with broken rubber band) and luckily I looked over my shoulder to see this incredible sunset. It was the type of sunset that can take your breath away. It was cold, windy, beautiful and for some reason I felt right at home up there. November 7th,2009

Hasn't voted | Thanks for the kind words Wasatchvoyage. It was yet another fine sunset in the Wasatch. I think most people tend to miss out on beautiful sunsets like these because of thier fear of the dark. Hope your future sunsets are more beautiful than mine.

Hasn't voted | Great point Larry and ya I do have my breath back (no CPR neccary). We hiked back down the dark and lonely Dry Creek Canyon. I was really nice to climb back down in the dark without the horses or people. Got down in the parking lot just in time to watch the moonrise right over the peak. Looks like we will have to go back the next time there is a full moon for sure. Hopefully there will be enough snow so that we can ski it! Happy Trails out there.
