This photo could easily be mistaken for a night exposure, but it is actually midday. The old 110 pocket instamatic camera I had was fooled by the bright light reflecting from the snow in the foreground. Note the incredible steepness of the slope. This is typical tilted tundra on Potosi Peak in the San Juan mountains, perhaps the steepest tundra I have ever been on. Loose talus was also perched at this same angle higher up the slope, ready to rumble at the slightest disturbance. Mount Emma in the background. See this trip report if your interest is piqued. Failed 2nd attempt of Potosi Peak via the south slopes, January 1981.

"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."   --Peter Gibbons (Office Space)
