| Lee is leading the easy slaby... | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Lee is leading the easy slaby 6th pitch (our 5th) on the Southwest Buttress of SEWS. It is easy to follow the route by the absence of lichen. This pitch starts up and to the right, then moves back to the left.

Voted 10/10 | A little bit run out, it looks like! How hard is this section of friction? Looks like a great time! | | Posted Jun 21, 2004 1:02 pm |

Hasn't voted | That pitch is rated 5.4. The 5.4 section has pro about 8 feet below it. The rest of the pitch is high 4th to low 5th class friction. Up where Lee is there is a crack with good protection.
Thanks, it was fun! | | Posted Jun 21, 2004 1:30 pm |

Hasn't voted | The run-out wasn't too bad, like Martin said, it's pretty easy. I'm not sure this section even went 5.4.
For some reason, Martin kept saying "Come on Lee, it's only fourth-class... Run it out!" | | Posted Jun 22, 2004 12:42 pm |
