| Lawrence and Nelson descend... | [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ] |
| Lawrence and Nelson descend a gully on the south side of Peak C (June 19, 2004). This route of descent allowed us to avoid downclimbing the tricky section of the ridge (this photo) and dumped us out into the couloir below its crux (this photo). |

Hasn't voted | Would this colouir be an ascent alternative instead of the shale-like climbing out of the saddle? | | Posted Jun 26, 2004 6:55 pm |

See his line of ascent, then the line of snow to the right? The gully we were in on descent was even further to the right of the snow. Presuming you located this gully, you would exit the main couloir before it narrows. | | Posted Jun 26, 2004 7:17 pm |

Hasn't voted | You can make out the crux of the couloir in the photo Nelson pointed out by attm and even more clearly in this photo. Look for the overhang and its shadow. This gully joined the couloir not more than twenty feet below the overhang. | | Posted Jun 27, 2004 12:31 am |
