View of Mount Kenya's south... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
View of Mount Kenya's south...
View of Mount Kenya's south face. Batian is the left-hand summit, Nelion the right, and Point John is just visible on the lower right of the frame.

The steep central fissure is the "Diamond Couloir", which used to be a famous ice climb - it's a bit on the dry side right now and is unlikely to reform any time before the next ice age. Photo: January 2004.

This photo shows a dramatically different view taken in winter.
