Warm weather, sunshine, climbing in cool shade with a great view...why anyone would want to climb somewhere else is beyond me! Here I am going for another round on an unknown route that felt like 5.10b on Trapper Dome (July 2004) - Courtright Reservoir

Hasn't voted | How in the world did you find a ledge to balance your camera on so you could take a timer shot of yourself like that? :-) | | Posted Jul 19, 2004 12:39 pm |

Hasn't voted | Ah, it was easy. Fortunately I have a very, very tiny camera. | | Posted Jul 19, 2004 2:22 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, HAVE TO is right. Let's hope the rock is similar around that side of Trapper Dome. Check out the Carson Kodas Arete route page for details. | | Posted Jul 20, 2004 12:29 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Based on what I've seen back there and the tree's location in the background, this could be 'Anyone Got a Cigarette?' (.10b). It was put up James Gonzales in 1992. Used to work in Fresno at California Outfitters. Now, from what I've seen within the last 5 years, there are now 6 routes back there on that wall (ranging from 5.8 to 5.10b). Good stuff!
BTW, can I hire CheekyMonkey as a tiny camera man? | | Posted Aug 6, 2004 2:46 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yes, those routes are on some very nice granite. Thanks for the details, Dave.
And CheekyMonkey provides photography services in exchange for route leads on any weekend. Call him for dates and availability! | | Posted Aug 10, 2004 12:25 pm |
