Messy And Dangerous

This messy route is discussed in this updated trip report. In wet or crowded conditions, it should be avoided. The safer alternative is the original WEST RIDGE route, as described by Gerry Roach in his guide to the 14ers, and covered in the afformentioned trip report, which traverses much more solid (although exposed) terrain.
