The exciting "class 3" (or 4) climbing above the Lyell-Maclure Col; whatever it is, it's quite enjoyable, with some decent exposure until the easy class 2 slopes above are reached- 24 July, 2004

Hasn't voted | It sure seemed like fourth class to me. Nice photo. | | Posted Aug 2, 2004 11:03 pm |

Hasn't voted | Man, I was just on this ridge following a decent snowstorm, and one day of good sun. There was a foot of snow on all of the ledges and a good bit of ice. It was some of the hardest unroped climbing I have ever done. I guess that does not mean much for the class 3-4 distinction, since ice and snow changes things, but it felt hard. | | Posted Sep 28, 2007 5:31 pm |

Hasn't voted | I wouldn't enjoy doing that with ice or snow on it! With the exception of feeling just wretched due to altitude sickness, I found it stimulating (& enjoyable, but it was dry) for sure! Glad you made it down (& up) all right. Beautiful peak. | | Posted Oct 1, 2007 5:56 pm |
