The view from the top of Concord Tower. I believer that is Glacier Peak seen off in the distance (middle of photo).

Voted 10/10 | The view is SW. The volcano Glacier Peak is on der horizon. Bonanza Peak at left. Dome Peak at right. Eldorado is out of frame way to the right. | | Posted Aug 26, 2004 6:06 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Interesting. What is that peak just right of Glacier Peak, with the glacier in front of it? | | Posted Aug 26, 2004 6:18 pm |

Hasn't voted | That's more impressive than I expected - the Falcon hiking guide to the NCNP lists (if I recall) McGregor as a steep hike. I guess the "backside" is glacier free? | | Posted Aug 26, 2004 7:15 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Yes, the south side is glacier-free. A trail goes up the west side but unfortunately timely access to the trailhead has been cut off due to washouts on the approach road (the shuttle bus/van doesn't drive it anymore and I'm not sure on the status of repairs).
Since I am now taking on the emprise of climbing every 2000+ ft prominence peak in the state, I now have to climb McGregor some day. | | Posted Aug 27, 2004 7:07 pm |
