Stunning views of the Needle Mountains will accompany you all the way to the top once you make the saddle between Pt. 13,041 and Snowdon. Pigeon Peak is on the far right in this photo and Jagged Peak is on the left. 3 14,000 ft. peaks and several 13,000 ft. peaks are in full view from the Southwest Ridge Route. Vestal, Arrow, and the rest of the Grenadiers are out of this picture to the left and are in full view from this route as well. September 5, 2004.

Voted 10/10 | I like this shot. I don't know if you are using film or gigital imaging but if it is the later have you ever tried stiching photos together to make a panorama. If you have seen many of my pages you might notice this is a technique I am very fond of... It seems the scenery you encountered up on Snowdon would have produced some spectacular panoramas....

Hasn't voted | Yea, I should do that. I even have a panorama function on my camera that I have never used. I did take a video using my camera to take a 360 degree panorama. A panorama going all the way over and beyond Vestal and Arrow would have been cool. | | Posted Sep 11, 2004 4:43 pm |

Hasn't voted | What kind of camera do you have with the panorama feature? I think Kane and colonelpyat have Nikon Coolpix that has it. I'm thinking of leaping into digital within the next few months, and panorama would be a nice bonus. | | Posted Sep 22, 2004 6:58 pm |

Hasn't voted | I have an Olympus C-730 Ultra-zoom. I just need to get out the directions and see how to use it. The book they give is very basic. To figure everything out you have to look on the CD and print the stuff out. Do you know if you can link photos together using Photoshop? | | Posted Sep 22, 2004 8:25 pm |

Hasn't voted | Barry, I have Jasc's Paint Shop Pro, Version 7. They came out with a Panoramic stitching feature in version 8. A .PDF file with information is here. Presumably they did that to stay competitive with Photoshop, so my guess is that it would have a similar feature. Paint Shop Pro has recently announced version 9, and I may spring for the upgrade now. www.jasc.com | | Posted Sep 23, 2004 9:19 am |

Voted 10/10 | This looks almost Himalayan with the recent snowfall juxtaposed on the dark rock. 4-Stars! | | Posted Sep 25, 2004 11:42 am |
