In the Native American tongue, Ibapah means "mountain only foolish peakbagger would climb." No dirt. Only trees and rock.

I'd have guessed Gilbert and Sullivan to be the authors of the name, but a good explanation and photo of this peak is given.

A tremendous view from this summit. Wheeler Peak in Nevada to the SW, the Utah salt flats to the NW and myriads of ranges in all directions. A true peakbaggers delight. We spent an hour and a half up there enjoying the panoramic view. Who needs dirt anyway?

I found one pic that was decent enough to post that shows Wheeler Peak.
