Yes nice photo and beautiful mountain!

I photoed this photo when we were skiing in Les 2 Alpes below the La Meije and in nearness of Bar Des Ecrins!

I think the route on this mountain must be very hard!

Very nice picture. I know this montain, it's just on the other side of La Grave valley where I'm from. The north face on the picture is very long and very hard to climb with rock and ice ("glacier du Diable"). But the normal route on the south west face is slam dunk but very long (2000 m of denivellation). There is a little glacier with a couloir and then the route goes on a rocking edge (be carefull the rock is bad).

If you need more information or the entire description of the route I can send it to you by mail.

The panoramic view on the summit is wonderful in a very wild athmosphere.

Oh, my God!!!!!

Man, I can't believe it!

As I took a look at this sight, it almost made me mad.

I am member of the Dablam Mountaineering. And I'm always seeking for exactly SUCH rock monolites. Planing expeditions to their top. This shot is a dream for me!

Climbing is a little different from skiing (however there are some, who mix these two styles) but right now, I have to say "Thank you" for giving joyful moments to a climber. :)

No, unfortunately have not been back since, however still on my list of places to visit again. Got busy climbing and put skiing on the back burner for a while ... so many places, so many things to do ... so little time (and $!!)

Ciao,
