I don't actually think it is one of my best shots - I think some of the Cosmiques Arete shots are better. I was very lucky in having considerate climbing partners who were happy for me to carry a heavy SLR and take lots of photos. Most of my photos are fairly straightforward, but taken with a bit more time and camera gear.

To be honest it's very hard to take a bad shot anywhere on the midi-plan traverse. I have an uncannily similar shot to this taken from same location but with a little cloud blowing in from the vallee blanche.
