Wind was blowing from the left. Rhime ice like this grows into the wind (and tastes delicious!).

Rhime ice is increadible, I love finding it when up in the mountains. Not too long ago in the Lake District, UK, and the entire hillside was covered in the stuff, extending blades of grass to twice their length. Brutal weather but a fabulous trip.
