Mount St. Helens crater and... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Mount St. Helens crater and...
Mount St. Helens crater and dome as seen from the northwest.

USGS Photograph taken on 11 October 2004, by Jon Major.

Based on an amateur analysis of this photograph, the recent uplift of the new dome has grown ~615' and now reaches 7135'. All things being equal, meaning if the present rate of swelling continues (avg 51.25'/day), Mt. St. Helens will have a new true summit on 04 November 2004 (24 days after picture)!
