Hasn't voted | rpc - sorry for the late reply. Just returned from the NW Cascades. Alpine rock climbing....
This is Cannon Cliff in Franconia, NH. The route is the Whitney-Gilman(50 classic). Rating is 5.8
This is the largest granite cliff on the East coast.

Voted 10/10 | kp,
thanks - the photo looks awsome as does the route! If you ask me it should've made photo of the week...
what did you climb in the NW?
reason I'm asking is that my wife and I ran into 2 guys from NH or somewhere in New England during our approach to North Early Winter SPire in WA last Saturday. they were headed for South Early WS and mentioned that they're at the end of their weeklong PNW climbing trip.......it WASN't you, was it?? | | Posted Aug 11, 2005 4:15 pm |

Hasn't voted | rpc,
Nope not me. Although last summer, I did some climbing in Washington Pass. Becky Route on Liberty Bell, and a ???North face of Concord Tower.
I was in the Boston Basin area. (when the peeps were
snuffed by rock-fall). Climbed Torment, west ridge Forbidden and then the North face of Buckner. Cant get enought of the Cascades!
Thanks for the kind words., If u are ever in NE email me, we can do some climbing together! | | Posted Aug 16, 2005 12:40 pm |
| desainme | Relative height | |
Voted 10/10 | Cannon rises from 2600 feet to 3600 feet in about .2 miles
The North Basin Wall of Katahdin is higher and and a bit taller rising from 3350-4600 feet in .2 miles. That said the North Basin Wall is narrower. | | Posted Aug 11, 2005 3:32 pm |
