Spectacle in the Kingdom of Triglav [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Spectacle in the Kingdom of Triglav
Evening spectacle on Kredarica (2515m) below Triglav (2864m). Sun is sinking between Jalovec (2645m), on the left, and Mangart (2678m), on the right. This is situation in mid summer when Sun sets on NW while most of the year sunsets are hidden by huge body of Triglav.

:-) Thanks Bor, mucho!! It was quite cold evening, windy, and I was out only in short trousers and t-shirt but no cold could prevent me from enjoying! There is no place like Kredarica. I would rather sleep on the chimney of Kredarica than on a bed in Planika :-) Sunrises and sunsets are breathless there!

It will take even more spectacular photo to beat you in the next photo of the week contest, which is practically impossible. Congrats!! This is truly a beauty!

Thanks Lorenzo, very much, for such compliment! But, I think that is impossible choice on SP, there are many exceptional photos here. Not even top 10 selection would do justice :-)

Nice photo! I was there this last July and witnessed a very similar sunset from the same spot! What beautiful mountains the Julian Alps are. The night I was there at the Kredarica hut it snowed over foot of snow! Good fun.

Thanks Jack! Yes, Julians are amazing as are summer sunsets from Kredarica :-) Your photo is fantastic! Would you please post it on Razor (2601m) page, which needs a photo like that! :-)

Jack BRe: Awesome!

Sure, but shouldn't it go on the Mangart page?

Why Mangart? I think that is Razor.
