June 27, 2004 – Day 3 EB & Flags

This is me at 15,000 feet. It is the best shot I got of all the flags that were signed by my donors. I raised well over $4,000 for BC Children’s hospital on our Summits of Hope climb of Elbrus. Thanks to all the SP’ers who donated!!!

Thanks, Bob!

It's tough keeping on top of everything.

We still have to go climbing sometime!

My plans for 2005 are starting to take form. Three Fingers and Black are on the agenda. Also Oval Peak over near Twisp. There are others too, but those are top priority. I also hope to come up that way during the winter and do some of the "Napoleons" (high prominence, low stature) in the Bellingham/Mt. Vernon area. Possibly an x-country ski or snowshoe outing or two. Will keep you posted. -Bob

I was wondering what ever happened with your climb. Glad to see you and the team made it to the top and back home. Congrats.

Thanks, Bryan! Hope to get the rest up, as well as a trip report before too much more time goes by.

Congratulations on your successful climb of Elbrus! I enjoyed the photos and your trip report. I can relate to your "paint the snow feeling" as I got altitude sickness on Kilimanjaro a few years ago. I am going to try it again in February, by a different route, that will hopefully give me a better chance to acclimatize. Had I not already booked the trip I would have loved to join your group for the Kili 2005 climb. Best of success on that one too!
