| Three Fingers at dawn from... | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Three Fingers at dawn from our miserable snow cave in a wind-funnel notch near the summit. Western Washington is known for mild winters, but in January '82 we had 2 or 3 weeks of hard freeze. Here, it's about -10F. and two of our party already have shallow frostbite. Read all the gory details in the Trip
Report.
Mount Rainier is 94 miles south.

Voted 10/10 | you guys are animals! Great trip report. This baby is very underrated as both you and I know. Any time you want to do it again, I'm on!

Hasn't voted | My sorry knees wouldn't get me to the glacier now. It's a hell of a trip to have done, though. Memorable, too. In fact, the only notes I used to write the report were the dates on my slide frames. Some things just kinda stand out. Like the things you almost die from. Voted 10/10 | Hey Don, I'll do it with you if we can figure out a good time. Maybe sometime this spring? I'm sure I could get Duane to join us too. I'd need a weekend day, however, not a weekday. -Bob | | Posted Feb 4, 2005 12:42 am |

Voted 10/10 | Sure, let's put it together. I'd love to get back up there with someone who knows what he's doing!
