South face of Mt Hood, April 9, 2005. The Palmer ski lift can be seen on the left side of the photo, along with Illumination Rock. Crater Rock is the large cone in the left center of the crater. Devil's Kitchen is the dark hole just to the right of it, near the shadow's edge. Steel Cliff is on the right. The Hogsback is the snow ridge in the center of the crater that leads up through the Pearly Gates towards the summit.
