In the crater of Guagua Pichincha

View into the crater of Guagua Pichincha, already most of the way down. First time I've hiked into an active volcano, that's for sure... You can see some "fumerolas", vents. Smells very strongly of sulphur; friends tell me that there used to be hot water springs down there but the only lake we found was cold, although the vents are emitting very hot air.
