From Pine Creek TH
The whole area burned in 2015 so what's left is a faint trail leaving from an unmarked trailhead. I lost and gained the trail several times in the first mile or so, then it was fairly easy to follow. Once in sight of the butte I headed for the northwest ridge and skirted around the cliffs to the west. Saw three mountain goats just below the summit and no humans all day. Worth the walk!

Roads End TH
Heidi and I first hiked from the TH out to the E. Peak of Pine Creek Mtn, then climbed Indian Creek Butte on the way back. Note that the trails are kind of hard to follow around the head of Indian Creek. We skirted the rimrock on the NE side and scrambled up the gulley on the NW side -- more fun than the easy south ridge.

I made a traverse from the west to the east picking up Berry-Norton, Pine Mountain-East, and Indian Creek Butte before dropping down into the East Fork Canyon Creek for the hike back to the trailhead.

Indian Creek route
I also hiked from Roads End TH down into Indian Creek via the Indian Creek Access Trail before climbing out to connect with the Pine Creek Trail. The ICAT leads steeply down into the burned drainage but is obvious enough now. I could not find the Indian Creek Trail leading down the drainage - it must get much less traffic. Indian Creek Butte was a straightforward scramble from the trail.

Long hot day
I hiked in from the Roads End trailhead on the South Side of Strawberry Mountain and dropped down into Indian Creek as my map shown it as the most direct route. I found the Indian Creek Trail was in a deep state of disrepair, and had a difficult time tracking it if not for the fact I could see my destination looming ahead of me. The hike in was largely downhill except for the last mile climbing up the mountain. Of course that meant the return trip was mostly uphill and in the heat of the afternoon. I decided to try hiking the Pine Creek Trail through Wildcat Basin on the trip back which was far more scenic, but took a lot longer than the more direct route.
As seen in my images, Wildcat Basin was beautiful. This was my first time down into this seldom visited valley high in the Strawberries and I wasnt disappointed. Should anyone else read this before heading out to ICB, I strongly urge you to detour into Wildcat Basin to check out the scenery.
