Indian Peaks from the East

Indian Peaks from the East

The Indian Peaks seen from Bear Peak (east). December 2005. Cony Pass, Copeland Mountain, and Mount Alice, though labeled, are not in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. (They are in Rocky Mountain National Park: The boundary goes through Ogalalla Peak, Elk Tooth, Saint Vrain Mountain, and Meadow Mountain.) Special thanks to Livio for stitching together this panorama from a bunch of pictures that differed in focal length and color balance.

it's ok

Fantastic work. Why not an original size with a large dimension?

Re: it's ok

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. The original I've posted is over 5000 pixels across. Sometimes, however, a browser is configured to scale images so that they fit its window. With Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox, clicking on the scaled-down image will cause it to be displayed at its real size.

Fantastic!

Great shot. I wish I'd had this the first time I climbed Bear Peak. On the other hand, had I had this image, I probably would have spent about an hour scoping things out and been hit by lightning from the approaching storm. ;-)

Outstanding!

Can't believe I hadn't seen this until now.

I may have to dock you a point for not labeling Sugarloaf, though ;)

Re: Outstanding!

I wanted to make a joke about Sugarloaf and Pittsburgh and speed bumps, but it was too lame, so I'll just say "thanks!"
