IndianHead Peak - Anza...

IndianHead Peak - Anza Borrego Desert State Park.

I really like this image since to me, it defines the essence of what the desert peaks are all about: sublime beauty framed by ferocious teeth.

I've spoken to some "hardcore" mountaineers who "poo-poo" the desert peaks. I don't know about you but I'll take a crampon in the calf over a tussle with an agave anyday...
