Inside a large penitentes...
Inside a large penitentes field on the way to Pissis East. It took a couple of hours crossing it, but the alternative of negotiating a huge glacier was worse.
If you have time and don't feel tired, it's actually a nice experience to walk around in a forest of ice-pinnacles. Photo taken in a place where the penitentes were 2,5 - 3 meters high.
