Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl from Nevado de Toluca
I took this picture early in the morning while driving up the road to the crater of Nevado de Toluca. There are stretches of the road that are in very bad condition (especially near the end of the road once you are in the crater). I took a rental car up there and I wouldn't do it again. In places, your car will be bottoming out regardless of how slow you are driving. For about the equivalent of $40-$50 you can get a taxi to drive you there and they will wait for you while you climb. Ask around for a reputable taxi driver though.

The views on this day were amazing and it looks like Popocatepetl may have been spitting up a little bit of steam and ash on this morning.

Thank you Maurice! The night before, there had been a pink glow over the land... the blue of the morning was alright too! :)
