Jablanac , over 800 years...

Jablanac, over 800 years old village on the coast of Velebit, is starting point to climb/drive to Alan pass (1375m) and from there further to numerous areas of North and Mid Velebit. More about the village is in its own section on the main page.

Interesting crag and reflections

Somebody saw red on this one. I was so shocked at the zero, that I mistakenly voted 3(2nd voter)

Village haters strike again

Now you fell into a trap that some people hate pictures, where no high mountain or adrenalin adventure is shown. Still, this is a cute 4-star picture and Jablanac is an important part of Velebit.

Village haters strike again, haha, that's a good one Vid. You know, I know what is good photo when I see one so those people make me laugh :-) You said it perfectly, Jablanac is important part of Velebit, plain and simple.

Mountain hut at lowest altitude

I believe that Jablanac, as location of (probably) lowest mountain hut on Earth, deserves own picture on SP :-)

Re: Mountain hut at lowest altitude

Of course Sven that is why it has it :-) Probably lowest mountain hut is on the other photo of Jablanac.
