Great scrambling up N Ridge from Dicks Peak. Mostly class 2 with a move or two of class 3 from the notch. Nobody on summit and only encountered one person on Dicks. Great view of all of Desolation.

Desolation Grand Loop
Dayhike from Glen Alpine TH. After climbing Mt. Tallac traversed the ridge to Dicks Pk. Continued on to Jacks Pk and then Pyramid Pk before returning to the car which made for a very long day in a great area which I hadn't visited yet. Some Photos.

South Ridge from Mosquito Pass
After deciding the snow conditions on Pyramid weren't stable enough, we headed up to Mosquito Pass and followed just below the south ridge up to the summit of Jack's Peak on much firmer snow.

The first stop in a solo 20+ mile Jacks->Dicks->Tallac talus traverse from Glen Alpine. A gorgeous day in every respect. Lots of talus on this hike.
